Wellbeing Wednesday - Healthy Eating
How much are we really eating? And is there a relationship between Food and Mood?
This workshop looks at the relationship between Food and Mood and how unhealthy eating patterns can cause mood swings that affect your emotional well-being. It will look at ways to recognise emotional eating as some people turn to food to help them deal with difficult or upsetting situations, using food as a way of providing comfort or support.
It looks at how being aware of our emotions can help build healthier, better relationships with food. It also looks at what the eat well guide is, 5 key food groups for our daily diet, and why our body benefits from these. The session will also describe the difference between portions and servings, how we can use the recommendations in day-to-day life, the top tips for altering portion sizes, and explores fullness and hunger scales. Don't miss out.
The session is at 12.00 pm -1.30 pm on 16th June 2021. For further details please contact healthandwellbeing@beds.ac.uk or visit https://in.beds.ac.uk/hr/staff-wellbeing-and-support/
