Join us to find out the results of the Race Equality Charter Survey
Join us on Thursday 15th June between 13:00 – 14:00 via Microsoft Teams to find out the initial results of the recent Race Equality Charter (REC) Survey and to hear about the plan for moving forward and putting the results into action.

We are keen to hear colleagues’ views on the REC Survey findings and we will integrate the feedback from this meeting and other future events into our REC application, which will include an action plan for tackling issues identified in the surveys.
Between 5th December 2022 and 20th January 2023, a total of 573 staff and 1,303 students participated in the REC survey, with 44% and 69% of respondents identifying as Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic in the two surveys respectively. This has given us some very rich data on which we can base actions for change.
Agenda:
The REC process and surveys are providing a clear message about the University’s wider work around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) but the REC application is only the beginning. After this event, we will be continuing to work together with students and staff to identify and address challenged faced by our Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic students and staff and to celebrate the value they bring to the University. So we look forward to seeing you at this event and continuing to work inclusively and collaboratively with you all on our REC application.
