We are in a period of results embargo that started from 6pm on Monday 29 July and is ongoing until 6am on Thursday 15 August (A-level results day and the start of our Clearing operation).
In order for the University to receive qualifications from the examination bodies through UCAS to enable us to confirm applicant places in the summer, the University has signed an embargo agreement that requires us to cease any communications with applicants that could imply an outcome of an examination result prior to A-level results day on the 15 August.
Any breach could result in the University not being able to receive results in advance of results day in future years. We recognise the importance of building relationships with applicants, but kindly request that the advice below is followed.
The results embargo does not just impact Admissions but can impact multiple areas of the institution. The best way to stop an embargo breach is to STOP ALL COMMUNICATIONS with applicants who have embargoed results until the end of the embargo period.
If you want to communicate with applicants during this time or have any questions regarding the embargo period please contact Victoria Azubuine, Home Admissions Manager.
A breach is not just the disclosure of results, it is any indication of whether the applicant has secured their place or not. We encourage you to complete the training on UCAS here.
Useful information can be found here.
During the embargo period, if you think there has been a breach, please contact Bob Cozens Director of MARC or Victoria Azubuine Home Admissions Manager as soon as possible.
