The Treehouse chaplaincy team has a facility on the Luton and Bedford campus and offer a warm welcome to staff and students of all faiths and beliefs. It is led across the University by Helen Burgess, the deputy Chaplain is Birgitte Grace (who likes to be called B) and is supported by Assistant Chaplains as well as volunteers and student volunteers. We also have support from our local faith contacts, Luton Council of Faith and Bedford Council of Faith.
We provide Prayer and Quiet Rooms and facilities for major world faiths, and we can give you details of local places of worship. We enjoy accompanying you on your own faith or spiritual journey and are available for spiritual counsel.
We have a presence on social media, Instagram, Facebook and Likedn.
In the event of sickness or work-related and personal difficulties, Chaplains are available to offer support or have a chat in a café over a cup of coffee. Chaplains operate within strict Confidentiality. We also welcome referrals from managers and colleagues (with the individual's permission of course). We are also able to offer regular or tailor-made rituals for life-events if required.
Chaplains should be informed immediately of staff or student death or serious incident and are available for pastoral emergencies. Chaplains are experienced and qualified to assist, and families and colleagues often appreciate the connection they have to offer with the work-place.
Open: Luton Monday and Friday from 10am -4pm, Bedford Monday – Friday 10am – 3pm

The Lead Chaplain and Deputy Chaplain posts are funded by the University of Bedfordshire Ecumenical Chaplaincy Trust https://ubectrust.weebly.com/ and are supported by a range of church denominations across Bedford and Luton.
