The lean thinking course - Identifying wasted time, effort and money
Do you want to help someone who runs or manages a business in Luton or Central Bedfordshire? Want to give them something valuable, to grow their business? This is your chance to leverage your University connections for their benefit – make sure they know about this offer before it runs out next month.
THE LEAN THINKING COURSE - IDENTIFYING WASTED TIME, EFFORT AND MONEY Free to ANY business in Central Bedfordshire & Luton (This includes large companies, self-employed people, charities, social interest companies – as long as you’re registered with some form of business address in Luton or Central Bedfordshire) Lean is the methodology to ensure that services and products can be delivered in a way the customer values.
It focuses on reducing activities that do not add value to the customer (waste). A qualified Lean professional also mobilises co-workers to improve processes. The course focuses on how to apply Lean principles in the real world. It applies to every kind of business, and it changes how you look at yourself. The training is built around two main topics and a simulation. The main topics are the 7 Wastes and the 5 Womack Steps. You will then apply what you have learned in a practical situation.
During the course, you will learn to recognise waste (wasted time, wasted effort, wasted money, wasted resources) and you will understand the roadmap to optimise processes in a targeted manner. After the two-day training course, you will IMMEDIATELY be able to apply Lean principles to your work environment. You'll be amazed at the process improvement potential that you will be able to recognise and how you will be able to realise the necessary process improvement using the Lean methodology and tools taught during the course. You will get a certificate, internationally validated, that doesn’t expire – because this will change how you think about work for the rest of your life.
The highest achievers will have the chance to progress on to a 4 day Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course – the £2,200 fee is covered by Luton and Central Bedfordshire Councils so there is no cost for this either – and every company that attends will have the chance of further funding.
