We are now in a results embargo until 08:00 on A-level results day and the start of our Clearing operation – 13th August.
In order for the University to receive qualifications through UCAS to enable us to confirm applicant places in the summer, the University signs an embargo agreement that requires us to cease any communications with applicants that could imply an outcome of an examination result prior to A-level results day on the 13th August.
Any breach could result in the University not being able to receive results in advance of results day in future years.
A breach is not just the disclosure of results, it is any indication of whether the applicant has secured their place or not.
The results embargo does not just impact Admissions but can impact multiple areas of the institution. The best way to stop an embargo breach is to STOP ALL COMMUNICATIONS with applicants until the end of the embargo period.
If you want to communicate with applicants during this time or have any questions regarding the embargo period please contact Victoria Azubuine, Home Admissions Manager.
We encourage you to complete the training on UCAS - https://pdp.ucas.com/
If you have done this training previously you may choose complete the '2020 key results embargo information' training.
If you have not completed Embargo training previously please complete the 'Full results embargo training'.
During the embargo period, if you think there has been a breach, please contact Bob Cozens, Director of MARC or Victoria Azubuine, Home Admissions Manager as soon as possible.
