The University has signed up to Advanced HE’s REC. As it commences the journey to improve representation, progression and success of minority ethnic staff and students within higher education, UCU/Unison’s Black Members Union Group discusses the role of the Union in the application process and asks - Should the University also sign up to Unisons Anti -Racism Charter to demonstrate its commitment to taking action for long lasting change, or will signing up to two Charters, lead to confusion and conflict?
