We need YOU for National Inclusion week
This September we will be celebrating National Inclusion Week (25 September – 1 October), and we need your help to make it as representative as possible.
We are looking for colleagues from around the University to share their experiences with us about their time at the University and the ways that you have been able to express yourself and your identity while at work.
We’re looking to hear about people’s lived experiences at the Bedfordshire and how your Identity has been supported, accepted or expressed during your time here. For example; how your disability has been accommodated for by your colleagues; celebrating Ramadan as a team; how colleagues have acknowledged your gender identity or celebrated Pride with you.
As part of our National Inclusion Week celebrations, we’ll be using these case studies to share with our colleagues across the University and with our students to showcase the EDI progress we’ve been making.
Please also let us know if you would be willing to share your stories as part of a Human Library which involves talking to people face-to-face about your experiences.’
More information about our National Inclusion Week plans will be shared soon, but in the meantime, if you’d like to be a case study or have a story to tell, please contact internalcommunications@beds.ac.uk
