Join Bedfordshire Health and Social Care Academy's next seminar
Bedfordshire Health and Social Care Academy is hosting its next seminar on the 28th of April, hosted by Dr Suzella Palmer.
Suzella has been teaching Criminology at the University of Bedfordshire Since 2003. Her research interests include serious youth violence, policing and black communities and issues around ‘race’, crime and justice. Outside of her academic role, she works closely with, supports and advises a range of community groups and organisations that provide interventions and support for young people and families whose lives are impacted by structural disadvantage and serious youth violence.
The focus of the seminar will be on the public health approach which is the latest response to the problem of gangs and serious youth violence in the UK.
Suzella will highlight and describe the key features of this approach and will then follow this with a discussion on some of the key challenges to its successful implementation. https://www.beds.ac.uk/hscacademy
