Trek Madagascar - fundraising for NOAH
In November I’m going on a trekking challenge in Madagascar to raise much needed funds for a local charity, NOAH Enterprise.
The money I raise for NOAH will make a direct, positive difference to the most disadvantaged in the community. The aftermath of the pandemic, and consequences of the cost-of-living crisis, has seen an increasing number of people reaching out for support.
The welfare centre in Luton was visited nearly 27,000 times last year alone and nearly 500 people were supported on the streets of Bedfordshire by NOAH Outreach teams. A £20 donation will feed a person for a week, and just £5 or £10 can go towards providing food, clothing, medical supplies, housing support or help with employment for those most in need.
I’ve never done anything like this before and I know it is going to be a huge challenge – but the cost of the trip is paid, I’ve brought all my kit, and I’m training hard. If you’d like to donate to NOAH and support me to reach my target, please visit my page https://justgiving.com/fundraising/sarah-thompson770.
