Community Covid-19 ‘walk-in’ rapid test centres now open
Our Covid-19 Lateral Flow Testing sites at the Bedford and Luton campuses have now closed for the December break.
Individuals that work, study or live in Luton can access asymptomatic Covid-19 testing at designated sites in Luton.
Community-wide Covid-19 ‘rapid lateral flow testing’ was launched in Luton today (Thursday 10 December) for all those that work, study or live in the town.
Two ‘walk-in’ rapid test centres have been set up at Lewsey Community Centre, Landrace Road and Farley Community Centre, Delphine Close, which are open 8am-8pm, seven days a week.
You do not need to book an appointment, just turn up, and results can be available in as little as 45 minutes.
Please remember, these tests are for people showing no symptoms of Covid-19. If you have symptoms, you should book to have a symptomatic test, order a Covid-19 home test kit online at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or call 119 for advice.
We will be reopening the on-campus testing sites for when students return in the New Year. Details to follow soon.
