Your views matter! Share your experiences of COVID-19

Covid-19 affects everyone, but in Luton local data shows that Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian, black Caribbean and black African communities are more likely to be affected than the white British population. National research has also highlighted that people from ethnic minority groups are almost three times as likely to contract the virus and five times more likely to experience serious outcomes.

Together with the Institute for Health Research at the University of Bedfordshire, we have developed a community engagement project - COVID-19 Talk Listen Change (TLC), to engage with individuals in these communities to gain a better understanding of how residents have been affected by the pandemic. A key goal of the initiative is to identify solutions to some of the barriers and issues raised in order to tackle inequalities.

If you are from a Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian, black Caribbean and black African or mixed heritage ethnic/community background and live in Luton, please share your views and experiences of COVID-19 by completing an online survey by 31 March.

For more information about the project visit luton.gov.uk/covid19tlc, for queries email TLC@beds.ac.uk or call 07969 062428.
