Come along to one of our upcoming Staff & Student Forum events to help us identify key areas and priorities for updating our sustainability strategy and achieving our net zero target.
These events will be informal discussions led by Professor Andrew Church (Pro Vice Chancellor for Research and the Vice Chancellor’s Executive Group lead for sustainability) and Dr Diana Pritchard (founder and co-ordinator of the Sustainability Forum).
These forums are open to staff and students to attend, and Professor Church will be gathering your feedback on how we can update our sustainability strategy and focus on our net zero target. The sustainability strategy defines how we will coordinate our strategic initiatives to build on our existing achievements, support innovation, and use best sector practices to ensure our approach is sustainable, so this is an important opportunity to share your valuable insight and feedback on how we can best achieve these goals.
These staff forum events follow on from the University’s recent excellent results in the 2022/23 People and Planet University Green League, where we came second in the UK and first in England overall. Alongside this, Bedfordshire was awarded Gold in the Uswitch Green University Report for 2022, and achieved Platinum EcoCampus status for the fourth year running.
