National inclusion Week day 2
Day 2 of National Inclusion Week is here!
We have a packed day of insightful events planned and, better yet, FREE food and drink on offer. You can find more information about our events on our webpage here.
Today, from 12 pm – 1:30 pm in the postgrad centre and online, we're hosting our EDI Panel for a spirited discussion about inclusion and what's going on to enhance belonging and inclusion at the University. With the opportunity for YOU to pose your questions about EDI at the University. Following the panel, we'll be hosting an informal lunch with a range of delicious food and drinks, giving you the opportunity for further discussion over coffee and a cake.
Hosting the panel will be Susan Shutter, Director of People & Culture, with guests Dr Sambulelwe Sibanda, University Co-EDI lead, Dr Mohammad Alramahi, Co-chair of the Race Equality Charter Self-Assessment Team, Mark McCormack, Chief Executive Officer of Beds SU and Amina Awal, Beds SU Co-Vice President Campus Experience and Equality.
Then, to finish the day at 7 pm – 9 pm, the Treehouse will host a Globe Café dinner designed to bring cultures together for an evening of fun and friendship.
We'll host an EDI drop-in session at Bedford campus from 12 pm – 2:30 pm in G0.11/12. It's the perfect opportunity for staff and students to network, discuss the various inclusive projects you're involved with, and build connections with people you may not usually encounter.

Bits of Beds
Also, make sure that you listen to our special NIW Bits of Beds Podcast episode featuring Dr Suzella Palmer and two of our students as they discuss life at Beds.
