Macmillan Coffee Morning – can you donate some cake?
We will be holding Macmillan coffee mornings during NIW on Thursday 28th September from 11:30am to 12:30pm at both Luton and Bedford campuses to raise money for a great cause. We are looking for cake donations, so please let us know if you would be happy to bake (or purchase some baked good) to contribute to the coffee morning. If you can help please register your support here.
Inclusion case studies
We’re also still on the lookout for any colleagues that may want to share their lived experiences at the University for case study’s that we can feature on our external NIW webpage. We’re looking for any experience you’ve had at the University that has affirmed your identity or helped you express yourself at work. For example; how your disability has been accommodated for by your colleagues; celebrating Ramadan as a team; how colleagues have acknowledged your gender identity or celebrated Pride with you. Please email internalcommunications@beds.ac.uk if you would like to be a case study.
What is National Inclusion Week?
NIW has been developed by Inclusive Employers to give organisations time to celebrate inclusion and take action to create inclusive spaces. Here at Bedfordshire, we’re proud to have an inclusive campus that ensures that everyone, no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation or faith feel welcome, accepted and supported in their studies and work.
We look forward to seeing you at our staff and student events.
