Leaving reception for Donald Harley, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Resources)
This informal event on Thursday 30th June from 3pm will be held over refreshments and cake giving us all an opportunity to thank Donald for his significant contribution to the University and to say a fond farewell.
Donald joined the University in April 2006 as Director of Finance, becoming Deputy Vice Chancellor in 2009. During his tenure he has had a hand in the transformation of the Luton Campus with the building of the Campus Centre, the Post-Graduate Centre, Library and of course most recently the STEM building. He also led the tender for a new accommodation provider in Luton which was awarded to Campus Living Villages (CLV), who undertook to transform our student accommodation provision with the building of Fitzroy and Wenlock Courts.
In Bedford, Donald oversaw the construction of the Gateway building, and in Milton Keynes he negotiated with MK Council for the lease of Saxon Court and then subsequently the move to Exchange House.
We are asking attendees to register using Eventbrite to assist us with our catering provision.
Best wishes,
The Events team
