Graduations 22-29 July 2022 Events
We are excited to be celebrating face to face graduations for the Class of 2022 at the end of the month.
We’re expecting some lively groups, we’ve got some great Honoraries and interesting speakers.

Graduation at Bedford Corn Exchange 22 July 2.30pm
At Bedford the annual Civic ceremony will take place in the Corn Exchange. MK40 1SL
This year is slightly different as we will not be processing from the Swan. A shortened procession will form in the Harpur suite and walk around to the front of the Corn exchange. Staff should collect their gowns from the Harpur Suite in the Corn Exchange, entrance from Harpur Square [what three words///zealous.racks.driver].
We will start to line up the procession from 2pm. We will process out the same way and gather in front of the Harpur Suite to create a ‘Tunnel of Love’. Students will be led out by the faculty Chief usher All are then welcome to the post-ceremony refreshments across the road in St Paul’s church. (Gown return is also there )
At Putteridge Bury Luton 25-28 July 2022 We have four hopefully-sunny-but-no- too-hot days planned at Putteridge Bury. Parking is available for students and guests with blue badges only, pre-booked with the graduation team. Staff can get access to free bus travel from Fitzroy Court to Putteridge Bury with Staff ID card. Or choose alternative travel means (taxis) and claim expenses as appropriate. As a general rule no parking will be available except for those that normally work at P’Bury and pre-booked contractors or guests Staff travelling from Bedford can hop on the Three Star coach at the following times. Please note this is a single coach.
Departure: 8.45 – 9.45 arrival for 10.30 ceremony 11.45 – 12.45 arrival for 1.30 ceremony 3.15 – 4.15 arrival for 5.00 ceremony Returning 1.00, 4.00 and 7.30 – this is 1 hour after ceremonies end Staff should collect gowns from PB LT1 (Lecture Theatre 1)
The academic procession will set off from the terrace outside room 5 (dining room if wet). Please be ready to line up 15 minutes beforehand. The ‘Tunnel of Love’ will form under the shade of the walkway one side only. The chief usher will lead student to the reception /front lawn area Ceremonies will take place at Putteridge Bury, Luton at 10.30am, 1.30pm, and 5.00pm on each day Luton Civic Ceremony at St Mary’s Church Friday 29 July 2.30 pm Staff attending should collect their gowns from the outreach room in the STEM building D001 The procession will form at Luton Town Hall (Committee rooms).
