The Human Resources team are running a series of recruitment and management courses over the next few weeks. All courses are available to be booked via the iTrent service.
These sessions will be delivered via Microsoft Teams.

8 June 2021, 10:00 - 11:00 - Undertaking ID Checks: This course is intended for staff who are looking for a better understanding of how to undertake ID checks and the impact of this on our organisation.
10 June 2021, 10:00 - 11:00 - Recruitment and Selection: This briefing provides an introduction to Recruitment at the University of Bedfordshire and covers legislative requirements for recruiting managers to be aware of.
11 June 2021, 09:30 - 11:00 - Leading Diverse Teams: This session focuses on understanding the Equality Act 2010 - what is Public Sector Equality Duty, understating direct and indirect discrimination and victimization, Unconscious Bias - what it is and how to guard against it, Expected behaviours from leaders of diverse teams.

17 June 2021, 12:00 - 13:00 - Testing During Recruitment: This one-hour course will provide an overview of how testing during the recruitment process can help you to select the best candidates. It will enable you to develop, administer and assess tests fairly.
22 June 2021, 11:00 - 13:00 - Absence Management: This briefing is designed to outline the UoB policy and processes in more detail. It will provide managers with a practical and proactive approach to improve employee attendance.
23 June 2021, 10:00 - 13:00 - Shortlisting, preparing interview questions et al: An in-depth, practical session exploring the core components of recruitment and selection at the University of Bedfordshire to ensure you can really secure the right person with the right skills for the job first time, every time!
24 June 2021, 10:00 - 12:00 - Setting Objectives: In real-time, develop your skills in identifying and developing meaningful objectives for yourself or your staff.
29 July 2021, 11:30 - 14:30 - Investigation Training for Disciplinary & Grievance: An interactive workshop to provide practical guidance and advice on the undertaking, conducting investigations and presenting investigation findings. Set pre-reading is a requirement for this workshop.
