Get on your bike for Cycle September
Dear colleagues,
Sign up for Cycle September and join the University in competing with organisations throughout Bedfordshire to cover the most miles, most commutes, and most trips.
The competition is a part of Luton Borough and Central Bedfordshire Council and Love to Ride’s initiative to get more people on two wheels across the globe.
The University has topped the leader board for the last two years – join us to help retain our title.
How do I get involved?
How do I earn points?
Earn points by riding and encouraging others to ride.
The University’s points will be the sum of all points earned by every colleague taking part on Love to Ride.
The more points we all earn, the further we will climb on the leader boards and the better our chances are of winning prizes. Prizes include bikes, holidays, vouchers and more.
Any ride counts
Whether you are enjoying a leisurely cycle at a weekend or swapping the car to bike to work – any bike ride can be registered on Love to Ride, it isn’t just about commuting to work by bike.
Any ability
You don't have to be a keen cyclist or biking commuter to take part. Last year, 49% of those who took part were occasional or non-cyclists.
Cycling can make you happier, healthier and wealthier and it makes our communities cleaner, greener and more liveable. Sign up today.
Cycle Scheme
Did you know that we run a cycle to work scheme? Find out more about this staff benefit which enables staff to save money on bikes and accessories through the salary sacrifice scheme.
Best wishes,
