Find out what artificial intelligence holds for our future in today's lunchtime lecture
Have you ever wondered if robots and artificial intelligence will take over the world? Find out in today’s lunchtime lecture by Dr Paul Sant.
The lecture, titled ‘What does Artificial Intelligence hold for our future?’, is happening today from 12:30 – 13:30 in the Post Graduate Centre Lounge, Luton campus.
Sign up for free ticket on Eventbrite.
Dr Sant will discuss the increasing use of artificial intelligence in the commercial and research world, and look at how computer systems are able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence.
After pondering intelligence and our future, you can enjoy some free tea and cake and have a chance to unpick the lecture with colleagues and students.
And to finish our festival in style, join us for ‘A Taste of Science’ at the Beds SU Metro Bar and Kitchen, where our STEM academics are going to be tackling common misconceptions around food and drink, and discuss the latest research on the psychology of food, all over a pint and pizza – is there a better way to end a week?
Join Paul Cavendish, Dr Lindsay McDermott, Dr Faye Powell and Dr Shaobo Zhou to discuss topics such as dietary advice, sensory specific satiety and perceptions of taste.
Bring your Eventbrite ticket to collect your free pizza at this event, taking place from 12:30 – 13:30 on Friday 13 March.
