Holocaust Memorial Day, 27 January
There will be a Holocaust Memorial Day tree in the Gateway Building on Monday 27 January. This is an opportunity to write your reflection/remembrance on a memorial flame and attach it to the tree.
Holocaust Memorial Day is a national event dedicated to the remembrance of the victims of The Holocaust and genocides since.
The chosen date of 27 January is the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz – Birkenau concentration camp in 1945. It is also the date of the United Nations designated international Holocaust Remembrance Day.
A short act of remembrance will take place on Monday 27 January at the Anne Frank Tree in Russell Park at 12:30pm.
