We had been working on improvements to our systems and the services we offered as we piloted a Digital Exams Environment using the cloud-based software WISEflow (WF).
We were delighted to have completed the third phase of the project with the semester 3 exam session in May 2022 (pilot 3). We were grateful to all the staff and students who contributed to pilots 1 and 2.
WISEflow was a secure and scalable end-to-end exam and assessment platform, designed to support the assessment and feedback life-cycle for students, exam writers, markers, and administrators.
It provided easy access to create, deliver, and assess multiple types of exams and assessments, accompanied by tools for feedback, analytics, and security. It covered the majority of traditional exam and assessment formats across different subject areas at universities and utilised advanced technologies for creating data analytics about the exam and assessment process as well.

April 2022: Semester 1 Resit Exams (final exam series in pilot 2)
May 2022: Semester 2 Exams (pilot 3)
Our next phase (phase 4) focuses on integration. We will be integrating WISEflow with SITS in the upcoming years.
Specifically, exam and student information originating in SITS will be sent to WISEflow before each exam period.
Exam grades entered into WISEflow as part of the marking process will be sent to SITS.
We will also be improving the experience of student and staff users of WISEflow in line with the feedback we received from pilots 1 and 2.
We established an exams working group with broad membership to oversee the review and development of our exam operations.
We recognised that exams had a large number of stakeholders across the university community.
