Based on feedback received throughout the consultation, several key changes have been made to the original proposals. These include:

• Faculty Renaming: Faculty 2 will now be called the Faculty of Technologies, Education and Social Sciences.
• School Name Change: The School of Education is now the School of Education and English.
• Grade 9 Associate Professors: These roles are no longer part of the current restructure. This allows time for a more thorough review and launch of the new research institutes and related structures. The new institutes will officially launch in August 2025, in line with the overall restructure timeline.
• Further Review of Grade 9 Associate Professors: We will further define the roles of Professors, Faculty Research Leads, and faculty-based Grade 9 Associate Professors within the new faculty and research structures. A revised job description for Grade 9 Associate Professors will be provided as part of this review.
• Increased Resources: Additional resources will be allocated to specific areas in response to feedback.
• Job Title and Reporting Line Changes: Some job titles and reporting lines have been updated.
• Job Description Updates: Selected job descriptions (JDs) have been revised.
• Categorisation and Pooling Adjustments: Some changes have been made to how colleagues are categorised and pooled.
• Voluntary Redundancy Deadline Extension: The deadline to accept voluntary redundancy has been extended from 30th May to 6th June. This gives colleagues time to review the final organisational structures before making a decision.
