Alumni Jennie James' daughter in-law needs our help.
I wonder if you could help me spread the word about an appeal please? I met my close friend Jennie James here, at our University, when we did our undergraduate BSc together.
Jennie James’s daughter in-law is Melissa Crampton, who is 40 years of age with 4 children.
Melissa was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago and had a double mastectomy. Sadly, 15 months ago Melissa woke up unable to walk and was subsequently diagnosed with secondary breast cancer of the liver and spine. She has been receiving chemotherapy on a regular basis since. Melissa’s recent scans show a new tumour on her spine and worse still the tumour on her liver has got larger. Her doctors are going to change her chemo again to give her more time but there is no other treatment they can give after this.
Melissa’s family have been in touch with a clinic in Germany that has cured people with a new immune therapy but it is very expensive, so a goFundme page has been set up to help raise £40,000.
Although the fundraising is doing very well, this is obviously a large sum of money to raise. Any help or Facebook/Twitter sharing you may be able to do to help promote this fund raising would be greatly appreciated.
Melissa has been on local 3 counties radio, click here to listen.
Many many thanks
Kind regards
