We are all shocked and deeply saddened by the conflict in Ukraine and we know that our colleagues are looking for ways to support the Ukrainian people in any way that they can.
If you are keen to donate, then we have listed some of the major charities and organisations that are able to get the aid to those that need it most.
We have been made aware that many charities are becoming overwhelmed with items being donated, and there have been some reports of problems with aid getting through borders etc, therefore many charities are recommending sending cash donations instead as they can reach people quickly to buy what is needed.
Some other ways to help are also included below:
- Donation drives across the UK (Facebook site)
- UkayExpress has helped SSEES students deliver donations from London to Lviv in partnership with MeestGroup. UkayExpress are open for donations currently in E10 (London) but we recommend calling +44(0)203 4417 857 in advance, or messaging on Instagram @ukayexpress to check when and how to donate. Medical supplies, canned foods and hygiene products are a priority.
- Crowdfunding: Moldova for Peace // Solidarity for Ukraine
- Support the Ukrainian army: Повертайся Живим / 'Come Back Alive', a Kyiv-based charity, provides Ukraine’s Armed Forces with equipment, software, personal body protection, training, etc.
- Nova Ukraine - Humanitarian aid to Ukraine

- The Canadian government is currently matching donations to the Red Cross
- Ukraine Canadian Congress: Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal
