Media Folder etiquette

All Umbraco editors have access to one or more Media folders which is where you upload and store the files and images you want to include in your webpages. Note: This is a local folder, so files in it will not appear in Document search

Give your files good titles

Good descriptive file titles are important in Umbraco.

The title is important for:

• finding the correct file via the Umbraco back-office search
• keeping your content in order
• helping your colleagues find the right files when you are on holiday
• safeguarding against linking the wrong file to a webpage
• providing an informative tooltip for visitors to your webpage when they hover over the link to the file.
