Security is provided by Securitas Security, in partnership with the University. The Luton and Bedford Campuses have security available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our Security team help keep the campuses safe and secure using a combination of traditional guarding and technological solutions, such as CCTV and Access Control amongst others.
Our guards are an essential part of the campus environment. They help our staff, students and visitors feel welcome; they respond to incident or query management; and they help secure our grounds, buildings and contents, all geared towards ensuring a pleasant Student experience.
In addition to our on campus security presence we have a mobile response unit which helps to support our remote campuses like Putteridge Bury.
The staff are uniformed and are expected to perform duties in a professional, courteous and efficient manner at all times.
